Amanar Tamasheq

Amanar Tamasheq parts from the exciting adventure of the director on a trip with the Tuaregs rebels in the desert of Mali, to convert the camera into the most powerful weapon. The terrible history of this people, always under threat, is built through their own words in a text that, from their own statements reworked, overlaps in the form of subtitles to images. These, far in the highest degree of language that normally tells the violent, they gain political power and radical rarely seen.

Piripkura

The last two surviving members of the Piripkura people, a nomadic tribe in the Mato Grosso region of Brazil, struggle to maintain their indigenous way of life amidst the region's massive deforestation. Living deep in the rainforest, Pakyî and Tamandua live off the land relying on a machete, an ax, and a torch lit in 1998.

Afghan Women

The words of the women and the rhythm of their lives in the seclusion of family compounds suggests both the satisfying and the limiting aspects of a woman's role in a rural Afghan community. Filmed in the Balkh Province, an area inhabited by Tajik and other Central Asian peoples. The town of Aq Kupruk is approximately 320 miles northwest of Kabul. The theme of the film focuses on women. The film and accompanying instructor notes examine the economic, political, religious, and educational status of women, their legal and customary rights, and the degree of change in their actual and perceived roles.

Chile, with its 2,670 miles of coastline and the largest archipelago in the world, presents a supernatural landscape. In it are volcanoes, mountains and glaciers. In it are the voices of the Patagonian Indigenous people, the first English sailors and also those of its political prisoners. Some say that water has memory. This film shows that it also has a voice.

A sensory record of the relationships of affinity and enmity with fire in the conservation of the Cerrado biome. In the company of local residents hired to act as brigadiers and, more recently, as management agents, the short film explores the affections established with fire in the midst of combat pyrophobias and management pyrophilias. In addition to documenting fire fighting and manipulation techniques, the cinematographic experiment points to a more than human visual anthropology, where environmental forces such as heat, vegetation and wind make up an alterity whose condition remains ambiguous.

A documentary following an Estonian fashion designer Reet Aus on a global tour to explore the origin process and the environmental footprints of today's fast paced fashion industry. On the road the mission takes an unexpected turn towards trying to introduce her "upcycling" inspired product line to some of the major fashion retailers to increase awareness of the massive resource waste built into the current product lifecycle.

Wishbone Ash: Live At Rockpalast 1976

This Rockpalast was recorded on 1st December 1976 in the Sporthalle Cologne and shows the inventors of the legendary "dual lead-guitar/twin guitar sound" with the classical line-up of the band from Andy Powell (guit., voc.), Martin Turner (bass, voc.), Steve Upton (dr.) and Laurie Wisefield (guit.) in captivating form and mood. In 1976 Wishbone Ash were at the zenith of their career. Their albums, from "Pilgrimage" to "New England", reached worldwide top positions in the album charts, were refined with silver and gold, the band was constantly on tour around the globe and tracks like "The King Will Come", "Warrior" or "Blowing Free" achieved cult status among fans of guitar-oriented progressive rock and are milestones in rock history. Characteristic of Wishbone Ash is their melodic, guitar-oriented rock, which is dominated by two electric guitars played in duet. In addition there is an almost ballad-like vocal style. This Rockpalast edition is a must for every Wishbone Ash fan!

Afgan

The three veterans are joined by a young scout who despises the "old men". They will have to solve the drug problem, despite the conflict between two generations.
